I just finished reading "Mike, Mike, & Me" by Wendy Markham and the theme of the book is about the one that got away. After reading it, I started thinking about the important choices we make in life and whether we will ever regret them in the future. One of the main goals of life is to find the other half that fulfills your every hopes and desires. As you grow older, you begin to question whether the ONE had passed you by, and now you must settle for second-best. Or whether you had made the right choice in choosing your other half when there was another choice on the horizon. In "Mike, Mike, & Me", Beau (the female main character) contemplates whether she had chosen the correct Mike for her ten years ago as she becomes unfulfilled with her life as a 30ish suburban housewife. If we were in Beau's shoes, will we have chosen the correct Mike for us, or will we regret our choices for a lifetime. Everyone is secretly hoping for their Prince or Princess to come and rescue them from the lonely life as a single. When that opportunity arrives, will we recognize it in time to make the right and fateful choice to obtain true happiness of real love?

I guess we have to wait and see...
